Our partnership with Conservation Corps North Bay focuses on prescribed fire training and long-term workforce development for the next generation of fire practitioners. Through the Healthy Forest Alliance Foundation and the Good Fire Training Network, we provide structured, hands-on instruction that prepares Corpsmembers for careers in wildland and prescribed fire.
Training blends classroom fundamentals—fire behavior, weather, safety systems, and operational structure—with live field application. Corpsmembers gain experience in firing operations, holding tactics, hose deployment, pump operations, and crew coordination under qualified supervision.
Beyond skills, the program builds professionalism, leadership, and incident readiness. Participants earn recognized training, strengthen physical and technical capacity, and develop pathways toward advanced qualifications and wildfire response assignments.
By investing in Conservation Corps North Bay, we are expanding access to meaningful careers while growing a skilled workforce capable of implementing safe, effective good fire across California and beyond.
